Privacy policy

Bulk Order Hero ("we", "us") provides online stores, delivery pricing, scheduling, dispatch and payment tools to haulers and supply yards ("merchants"). Merchants sell to their own customers through their store. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

From merchants:

• Account details: name, email, phone, business name and address.
• Store details: products, prices, delivery areas, hours and logos.
• Payout and identity details, which you give directly to Stripe (see below).
• Price lists, files and notes you send us when you ask us to set up your store.

From merchants' customers:

• Name, email, phone number and delivery address.
• Order details, delivery date, drop location pins and photos, and notes.

Automatically: basic device and usage information such as browser type, pages viewed and IP address, used to keep the service secure and working.

How we use information

• To run stores, take orders, calculate delivery prices and schedule deliveries.
• To process payments and send payouts.
• To send order, delivery and account notifications.
• To provide support, prevent fraud and improve the service.

We do not sell personal information.

Payment processing through Stripe

Payments are processed by Stripe. Each merchant has its own Stripe Connect account and is the merchant of record for its sales. Card numbers go directly to Stripe and are never stored on our servers. Stripe's use of your information is governed by the Stripe Privacy Policy.

Email notifications

We send emails needed to use the service, such as order confirmations, delivery updates, receipts and account messages. These are tied to an order or account and are not marketing.

Text messages (SMS)

• Consent: we only send text messages to people who opt in, for example when placing an order or creating an account.
• What and how often: messages are about orders and deliveries (confirmations, schedule changes, "on the way" updates). Frequency varies with your orders.
• Costs: message and data rates may apply.
• Opting out: reply STOP to any message to stop texts. Reply HELP for help.
• Sharing: phone numbers and SMS consent are never shared with or sold to third parties for their marketing.

Location when drivers update a delivery

When a driver marks a delivery as on the way or delivered, we may record the device's location at that moment so the merchant and customer can see delivery progress and proof of delivery. We do not track drivers' location in the background.

Sharing

Customer order information is shared with the merchant who fulfils the order. We use service providers (hosting, email, payments, maps) who process information only to provide their service to us. We may disclose information when required by law.

Keeping and protecting information

We keep information for as long as an account is active or as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations. We use access controls and encryption in transit to protect it. You can ask us to access, correct or delete your information by emailing us.
